On June 22nd, the China-Zimbabwe Innovation and Cooperation Forum on Digitalization of Fire Monitoring and Early Warning was successfully held. Gao Liang, Vice President of HUST, and Dr. BEAULLAH CHIRUME, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of ICT, Postal, and Courier Services of Zimbabwe, attended the forum and delivered speeches. The meeting was chaired by Ge Qian, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of EIC.
On behalf of HUST, Gao Liang extended warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the guests. He pointed out that HUST would take this forum as an opportunity to work together with Zimbabwe to deepen cooperation in the field of fire safety by giving full play to its advantages in technology and talents. HUST is committed to serving the "the Belt and Road" initiative, and to contributing to global public security and building a community of shared future for mankind.
Dr. BEAULLAH CHIRUME first expressed her gratitude to HUST for providing such a good cooperation opportunities for two countries in the field of fire safety. She emphasized that this cooperation is of great significance, and both sides will make great progress to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results, which will bring new opportunities for China-Zimbabwe cooperation.
Next, Qiu Caiming, Dean of the School of EIC, gave a brief introduction to the EIC. Associate Professor Deng Tian from the School of EIC, Ren Fan, Director from Shenzhen HTI Sanjiang Electronics Co., Ltd., and HARRISON MASENDU, representative from Ministry of ICT, Postal, and Courier Services of Zimbabwe respectively delivered reports on their research progress in fire safety.
Later, the participants exchanged their opinions on the future cooperation.
