On May 12, at the invitation of Fang Fang, Dean of the School of Control and Computer Engineering of North China Electric Power University, Qiu Caiming, Dean of EIC, delivered an academic report themed on Theory of Engineering Big Data and Its Application: Deep Learning and Random Matrix Theory in the school lecture hall.

Qiu Caiming first illustrated on the challenges faced by the engineering big data analysis, and then analyzed the important role of random matrix theory and deep learning in the engineering big data analysis based on the research conducted by his team in recent years. The research combining the theory and practice has obtained a number of original achievements. At the end of the report which has inspired the participants, Qiu Caiming also answered the questions proposed by the teachers and students.
